Update for students
The Music School re-opens on Tuesday 1st September 2020 with new safety measures in place to protect students and staff. To adapt to this new way of life and continue providing music lessons and to prevent the spread of any virus, we are doing everything we can to make sure Spiders Music School is as safe as possible to visit and enjoy.
So, what has changed?
To allow us to clean rooms after each session, we have now a 5-minute window between lessons. Please check your lesson time.
You may be asked to wait outside if your lesson room is not ready. (We have a limit to the number of people in the school at any one time)
If you are running late for a lesson, we cannot overrun.
Most of our tutors are returning to one-to-one teaching in the school. However, some will continue to teach one-to-one via video link instead for the time being. If a student feels unwell they should not attend their lesson and will be asked to return home if they do attend. Any concerns regarding Covid-19 should be raised with their tutor or a member of staff.
Anyone entering the building must use hand sanitizer where available on the way IN and on the way OUT. The toilets can still be used, but all who use it must wash their hands thoroughly afterwards. Pens cannot be shared, so please bring your own pen if you need to write something down or complete a new student form. Tutors will have their own hygiene stations and have their own protective protocols and procedures active at all times, which may involve teaching behind a Perspex screen and/ or wearing a facemask.
